6. Sonny Dykes, TCU
Dykes has a vast amount of experience in college football and reached a peak in 2022 when he was named Big 12 Coach of the Year and AP Coach of the Year as he helped lead a surprise TCU squad to the national championship game. That was Dykes鈥� first season back at TCU after spending time with the Horned Frogs as an offensive analyst prior, in addition to stints as head coach at Louisiana Tech, Cal and SMU. Year two in Fort Worth didn鈥檛 follow the same script as TCU went just 5-7 and finished ninth in the Big 12 with a 3-6 conference record, struggling to replace several departing players headlined by quarterback Max Duggan. The significant decline in 2023 may raise some concerns, but Dykes is a veteran, offensive-minded coach who should be able to get the Horned Frogs back on track.
