4. Chris Klieman, Kansas State
Kansas State isn鈥檛 the first school that comes to mind for most when thinking about Big 12 football, but the Wildcats have been one of the conference鈥檚 most consistent teams with Klieman since 2019, going 8-5 or better in four of the last five seasons, including a 9-4 record in 2023 that ended with a victory in the Pop-Tarts Bowl. Winning is nothing new for Klieman as he led North Dakota State to four FCS national championships in five years from 2014-18 and has a career record of 111-37 as a collegiate head coach. Klieman has also led K-State to a Big 12 championship and has helped the Wildcats finish inside the top 20 of the AP poll in back-to-back years. The 56-year-old is one of the emerging Power 4 coaches right now, and with touted quarterback Avery Johnson ready to take the field, things may only get better in Manhattan.
