Top 10 NCAA volleyball players entering the 2024 season
Lexi Rodriguez, Nebraska
Nebraska hasn’t won a national championship since 2017 but remains one of the premier programs in college volleyball as reigning Big Ten champions and national runners-up two of the last three seasons. A big reason for the Cornhuskers’ recent success has been Rodriguez who was the AVCA Freshman of the Year in 2021, a second-team All-American in 2022 and a first-team All-American in 2023. The 5-foot-5 libero also earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year honors for the second time in her career last season. Rodriguez racked up 150 set assists and 436 digs in 2023 as well, putting her at 1,424 digs for her career, the fifth-most in Nebraska history. With a talented supporting cast around her featuring Merritt Beason and Bergen Reilly, Rodriguez could cap a legendary Nebraska career with an elusive national title this fall.
