Ranking each Big 12 starting QB for the 2024 football season
1. Shedeur Sanders, Colorado
Sanders enters the season with about as much hype as any quarterback in the country and it will be interesting to see what he and his father, head coach Deion Sanders, can accomplish in year two in Boulder. Shedeur began the 2023 season in impressive fashion as he threw for 510 yards and four touchdowns in Colorado鈥檚 upset of TCU. That would be the high-water mark for the season, but the 6-foot-2, 215-pound senior had several other strong performances that led to season totals of 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns and just three interceptions with a 69.3% completion rate. Shedeur has already thrown for over 10,000 yards at the collegiate level and will be one of the most experienced quarterbacks taking the field in the fall. That should lead Colorado to a better season as he looks to cement his status as a top 2025 NFL Draft pick.
