Atkinson holds the all-time Colorado high school record for career passing yards, accumulating 11,519 yards at Fairview by 2019.聽
He also holds the CHSAA records for career passing touchdowns (130) and single-season passing touchdowns (56).聽
In 2018 鈥� while he was the star high school QB 鈥� Atkinson was accused of sexual assault on a party bus. At his trial in 2021, he to two counts of misdemeanor harassment and was sentenced to probation.聽
