10 players who could be the steals of the 2024 MLB Draft
David Shields, LHP, Mt. Lebanon High School
Shields reclassified from 2025 to 2024 and is now projected to be a second-round pick in this year鈥檚 draft. He is only 17 years old and the Miami recruit already has an above-average repertoire. The Pennsylvania native is 6-foot-2 and is a good athlete on the mound. Shields does not have command or control issues and he is a rare high-floor, high-ceiling prospect. It is surprising that he is not a consensus first-round pick.
