Mabeus is the next MLB prospect from the prestigious Las Vegas-area program. He is a 6-foot-3 catcher who can hit for power from both sides of the plate. He is also a smart hitter who makes the most of his strength without selling out for bad pitches later in the count. Mabeus is solid behind the plate despite his size. The Oregon commit is expected to be selected within the first six rounds or so.
