Kevin Bazzell transferred to Texas Tech from Dallas Baptist as a third baseman. The Red Raiders turned him into a good enough fielder behind the plate to stick at the college level. It is unknown if he can stay there at the pro level, but the progress he has made is still impressive nonetheless. Neal is viewed as good defensively, but maybe the Texas Tech coaching staff can turn him into an elite backstop.
