10 best hitters from the 2024 college softball season
Korbe Otis, OF, Florida
Even with a slight statistical regression from arguably the best hitter in college softball last season, Skylar Wallace, Florida has remained one of the top teams in the country behind a potent lineup that also features Kendra Falby, Jocelyn Erickson, Reagan Walsh and Otis. While each of those hitters have an argument to be on this list, it’s Otis who has led the way and has been the most consistent piece in the Gators’ lineup. On the season, the 5-foot-6 junior outfielder has hit .455 which is the fourth-best batting average in the country. Otis also holds the second-best on-base percentage in the country at .586 while adding eight home runs, 50 RBIs and 64 runs. Florida has put itself in position to have a special postseason and Otis will likely be at the forefront.
