Melvin Council Jr. transferring: 5 possible landing spots
TCU Horned Frogs
TCU has as big of a need at guard as anyone across the country this offseason. Jamie Dixon has already started addressing that by adding Frankie Collins, Noah Reynolds and Brendan Wenzel in recent days, but there could still be room to add another mid-major transfer in the backcourt like Council Jr. TCU reached the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive season in 2023-24, but the Horned Frogs are losing 11 of the 17 players on their roster including their top-seven leading scorers headlined by guards like Jameer Nelson Jr., Avery Anderson III and Treyvian Tennyson. Council Jr. could certainly help mask the scoring loss and could follow a similar path to Tennyson, a talented mid-major guard who became one of the best shooters in the Big 12 under Dixon.
