Dillon Mitchell transferring: 5 possible landing spots
Houston Cougars
Houston continues to excel under head coach Kelvin Sampson but is still looking for more consistency overall in March. Adding a couple of pieces this offseason could help change that and one potential target could be Mitchell. The Cougars were led by elite guard play this past season, but lacked size up front at times. Talented forward J’Wan Roberts’ return is a big boost for Houston, while the Cougars also have a couple of other forwards, Ja’Vier Francis and Joseph Tugler, who could take another step forward in 2024-25. However, adding more depth to the frontcourt would be big for this team, as would having an athletic, do-it-all kind of player like Mitchell. A potential draw for Mitchell to Houston is his high school teammate, Emanuel Sharp, who averaged nearly 13 points for the Cougars in 2023-24.
