Mark Pope leaves: Who will be BYU鈥檚 next basketball coach?

Beard started his career out being a video guy. He has been on staff at SMU, West Texas A&M, Pacific and with the Portland Trail Blazers. Beard was hired by the Houston Cougars in 2014 and has worked his way up to being an assistant coach. The Idaho native seems primed to be a head coach in the future. Maybe BYU will be the school to take a chance on him.聽
