Dre Davis enters transfer portal: 5 possible landing spots
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
While South Bend is a bit further north from his hometown of Indianapolis compared to West Lafayette or Bloomington, Notre Dame could ultimately be the most likely in-state landing spot for Davis. Transferring to Notre Dame would allow Davis to play his final season of college basketball alongside his younger brother, Tae Davis, who played his freshman season at Seton Hall alongside Dre before joining the Fighting Irish last year. Despite a lackluster 2023-24 campaign, Notre Dame seems to be in good hands under Micah Shrewsberry with some talented incoming commits and a dynamic backcourt duo of Markus Burton and Braeden Shrewsberry. However, the Fighting Irish could still use more scoring which Dre could provide, and his veteran presence would also be a bonus for this young team.
