The Spartans could be viewed as the favorites in this recruitment. Jonathan Smith left Oregon State this offseason to take the head coaching job with the Spartans. They have a decent running back in Nate Carter, but Martinez would certainly start over him. Smith has likely already reached out to his former player in hopes of getting him to East Lansing.
