Javon Small enters transfer portal: 5 landing spots for PG

Small took to campuses when he was in the transfer portal last offseason: Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Ohio State. While he ultimately didn鈥檛 choose the Buckeyes, he was clearly intrigued by what the program had to offer. Today, much of last year鈥檚 Ohio State coaching staff, including head coach Chris Holtmann, have moved on to DePaul where Holtmann took over as the Blue Demons head coach.
DePaul has already hit the transfer portal hard, adding guards CJ Gunn and Jacob Meyer and forward N.J. Benson. Unfortunately, the Blue Demons have also lost a ton of talent in the portal and will need to add many pieces before next season. Even with Gunn and Meyer in the fold, Holtmann鈥檚 team could probably use an elite, game-changing guard from the high-major level. That is exactly what Small could provide and if the point guard had a good relationship with the coaching staff, he may be willing to jump to the Big East in hopes of bringing the DePaul program back to life.
