A native of Niagara Falls, New York, Gayle is quite familiar with the Orange. Syracuse made his final six schools as well, showing that the interest was mutual. That coaching staff is still leading the Orange and they may need a guard after losing both Justin Taylor and Quadir Copeland to the transfer portal.聽
With plenty of playing time available as well as the mutual interest previously, Gayle likely would have interest in returning to his home state and joining Syracuse. The Orange may check every box for Gayle as a high-major program with prestige in his home state that鈥檚 coming off of a mildly successful season under a first-year head coach, which could be too much for him to refuse.
