— On3 (@On3sports)
Van Lith, a former standout at Cashmere High School in Washington, began her collegiate career at Louisville where she starred for three years, highlighted by a junior season where she averaged nearly 20 points. Along with talented guard Aneesah Morrow, Van Lith transferred to join the likes of Angel Reese and Flau’jae Johnson at LSU last offseason.
While the Tigers were viewed by many as national championship favorites coming into the year, LSU scuffled a bit early on, ultimately leading to a 31-6 season that culminated with a loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Elite Eight. On the season, Van Lith averaged 11.6 points – her lowest scoring output since her freshman year – in addition to 2.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists while shooting just 37.8% from the field.
Despite the down year in Baton Rouge, Van Lith’s proven talent will make her arguably the top player in the women’s college basketball transfer portal. While many assumed she might be headed to the WNBA, Van Lith will now play her fifth and final season at the collegiate level and should have plenty of suitors. Here are five landing spots for Van Lith after entering the transfer portal.
