Great Osobor enters transfer portal: 5 landing spots for wing
San Diego State
A fellow Mountain West player who was named a Karl Malone Award finalist was the Aztecs’ Jaedon LeDee. However, unlike Osobor, LeDee has exhausted his eligibility thus leaving a huge hole in the San Diego State roster. The Aztecs are familiar with Osobor’s game and may be interested in bringing the power forward to California.
For Osobor, this move would keep him in a Mountain West Conference he knows he can dominate in while also joining a team much closer to national championship contention than other mid-major programs. However, San Diego State’s status as a mid-major could also be its downfall as Osobor will likely attract a lot of attention from high-major teams which could offer him more in terms of future draft prospects, national championship contention and NIL profitability among other things. If Osobor is fine staying at the mid-major level, he’d be hard pressed to find a better squad than the Aztecs.
