Trey Townsend transferring: 5 possible landing spots

Townsend grew up just over an hour away from East Lansing and playing his final collegiate season for one of the premier programs within his home state and in the Big Ten could be an opportunity that鈥檚 hard to pass up. The Spartans are coming off of their 26th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, but have been stuck in the middle of the pack in the Big Ten over the last several years. Tom Izzo has a nice incoming recruiting class, but an addition or two from the transfer portal could make this team a conference favorite heading into next season. Michigan State will lose two key players this offseason, Tyson Walker and Malik Hall, who are out of eligibility. Townsend could be a perfect one-for-one replacement for Hall as someone who has a good post game but can also step out and shoot when needed.
