Trey Townsend transferring: 5 possible landing spots
San Diego State Aztecs
San Diego is a long way from Oxford, Michigan, but joining the Aztecs could be a nice opportunity for Townsend. San Diego State continues to find success under head coach Brian Dutcher as the Aztecs are just a year removed from reaching the national championship game and returned to the Sweet 16 this past March. They could have a veteran-laden group returning next season as well if seniors Lamont Butler, Darrion Trammell and Micah Parrish return for their final year of eligibility. Parrish is a former teammate of Townsend at Oakland which could be another draw. Meanwhile, Dutcher will be searching for someone to replace the production of leading scorer Jaedon LeDee who averaged over 21 points this season. Although he is smaller, Townsend could help fill that role and add to the experience of this squad.
