Pop Isaacs enters transfer portal: 5 possible landing spots
TCU Horned Frogs
Isaacs could stay within the Big 12 and potentially the state of Texas as well. If he does so, one of the top landing spots for the talented point guard might be TCU, a program that extended an offer to Isaacs coming out of high school. The Horned Frogs have made the NCAA Tournament in three consecutive seasons under Jamie Dixon with talented rosters in recent years. In 2023-24, TCU was led by forward Emanuel Miller and guard Jameer Nelson Jr., both of whom are out of eligibility. Another of the Horned Frogs’ key backcourt pieces, Avery Anderson III, is also set to graduate while guard Micah Peavy has entered the transfer portal. With just one three-star guard incoming in TCU’s 2024 class, adding backcourt help will likely be a focus for Dixon in the portal and Isaacs would be a nice fit.
