Danny Wolf transferring: 5 landing spots for 7-foot center
UConn
With Donovan Clingan potentially ready to test NBA waters, the Huskies may need to prepare for a future without the 7-foot-2 center. While 6-foot-10 junior Samson Johnson played a lot of minutes and showed he could be productive, his 5.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game leave fans wanting more. Fellow 6-foot-10 center Youssouf Singare only saw action in garbage time so he may not be able to fill Clingan鈥檚 big shoes next year either. Wolf, who played in-state at Yale, could be the solution.
While not as dominant a presence down low as Clingan, Wolf has some eerily similar stats to the big man, albeit against a lower level of competition. However, if UConn feels having a player in the Clingan mold is crucial to their success, adding the 7-foot Wolf would be a great place to start, especially given his proximity to the program. Wolf would likely be interested in the Huskies given their success over the past two seasons, the question is if UConn would be interested in the center.
