Myles Rice enters transfer portal: 5 landing spots for guard
PULLMAN, Wash. (BVM) 鈥 One of the nation鈥檚 top freshmen basketball players is transferring. Myles Rice entered the transfer portal Tuesday after three years at Washington State.

Rice鈥檚 collegiate career is a unique one. A three-star recruit in the Class of 2021, Rice redshirted as a true freshman for the 2021-22 season. The next year, Rice medically redshirted as he received chemotherapy treatments for non-Hodgkin鈥檚 Lymphoma.

After being cleared to play, Rice wowed during his first year on the court. He averaged 14.8 points, 3.8 assists and 3.1 rebounds in 35 games, all starts, leading the Cougars to the NCAA Tournament鈥檚 Round of 32. For his efforts, Rice was named first-team All-Pac 12 Conference, Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and a member of the Kyle Macy Freshman All-American team.
