Jason Edwards enters transfer portal: 5 possible landing spots

South Carolina had a terrific 2023-24 season, making its first NCAA Tournament appearance since its surprise Final Four run in 2017. Lamont Paris seemingly has the program on the rise, but his roster could look a little bit different heading into 2024-25. The biggest blow will be losing leading scorer Meechie Johnson who recently entered the transfer portal. The backcourt will also lose another important piece with Ta鈥橪on Cooper out of eligibility. With a couple of forwards highlighting South Carolina鈥檚 incoming freshman class, Paris will likely need to rebuild his backcourt through the transfer portal. Edwards would be a fantastic option to add as he is an explosive playmaker similar to Johnson who could help improve an offense that ranked just 221st among Division I programs this season.
