Marcus Hill enters transfer portal: 5 possible landing spots
Illinois Fighting Illini
Being a Rockford native, a chance to play for one of the premier programs in his home state seems like an opportunity that could be tough to pass up for Hill. Brad Underwood continues to build something special in Champaign and finally got Illinois to the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament this year. A big reason for that is the incredible play of star guard Terrence Shannon Jr. and the emergence of transfer portal acquisition Marcus Domask. However, both guards are out of eligibility, so Underwood could look to dip into the portal once again and bring in a talented home-state guard like Hill. Between Justin Harmon, Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn and incoming freshman Jase Butler, there will be some competition in the Illini backcourt next year, but Hill could emerge as a high-volume scorer just as Domask did this season.
