Frankie Collins transferring: 5 possible landing spots
St. John鈥檚 Red Storm
Collins was pursued by Richard Pitino while he was at Minnesota during his recruiting process, but there could now be an opportunity to play for his father, Rick Pitino, on the East Coast at St. John鈥檚. Rick did an impressive job of overhauling the Red Storm鈥檚 roster last offseason and had the program on the brink of reaching the NCAA Tournament in 2024. There should still be a lot of talent in St. John鈥檚 backcourt as next season begins, but there鈥檚 likely to be a search for a true point guard with Daniss Jenkins on his way out. A hard-nosed, blue-collar guard like Collins could be an intriguing option for the Red Storm. A transition to New York would also reunite Collins with one of his former high school teammates, Glenn Taylor Jr., who made a similar move to St. John鈥檚 last offseason after transferring from Oregon State.
