Andy Enfield leaving; 5 USC basketball head coach candidates
Jamie Dixon
Dixon, a California native, has had lots of success leading both the Pittsburgh Panthers and now the TCU Horned Frogs. He has gone 488-233 with 15 NCAA Tournament appearances, two Big East regular season titles, two Sweet 16 appearances, one Elite Eight appearance one Big East Conference Tournament title, a CBI title, a National Invitational Tournament title and the 2009 Naismith College Coach of the Year award in his 21 years as a head coach.
If he wants to return to his native California, USC would give Dixon an excellent opportunity while staying at the high-major level. While he鈥檚 had some success recently at TCU, going to three straight NCAA Tournaments, the Horned Frogs have had trouble getting over the hump so a change may be good for the head coach. If both sides are interested, Dixon has proved over two decades he can win no matter where.
