7. Johnell Davis, G, Florida Atlantic
One of the best players in the tournament field a year ago, Davis and his Owls return this March with hopes of another deep run. The guard built on his stellar campaign from last season by averaging 18.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and three assists this year to earn a share of the American Athletic Conference Player of the Year.聽
While FAU was eliminated from the AAC Tournament in the semifinal round, don鈥檛 expect them to be an easy out during the national event. While the No. 8-seed has a difficult matchup to start against No. 9-seed Northwestern, if the Owls win it could set up an interesting game against the defending national champions UConn and all eyes will be on Davis to help FAU pull off another miracle.
