The Flyers received a nice surprise after the 2022-23 season when star forward DaRon Holmes announced he was returning rather than declaring for the NBA draft. He was even more dominant as a junior, averaging over 20 points per game. His NBA future will once again be in question this offseason, and if he does decide to leave, Dayton needs to have a succession plan in place. Dia could view Dayton as an opportunity to have high volume in a better conference. This would be a great setup for him, giving him the chance to emerge as one of the best mid-major players in the country.
