Top 10 players from the West Region of the NCAA Tournament
2. Mark Sears, G, Alabama
Sears is one of the most prolific scorers in college basketball. Not only does he put up 21.1 points per game, he does it with elite efficiency. He鈥檚 shooting 50.4% from the field and 43.1% from deep on 5.4 attempts per game. In the Crimson Tide鈥檚 lone conference tournament game, he led the team in scoring with 22 points on 7-16 shooting but the team defense couldn鈥檛 keep up. Sears, a second-team All-American and Wooden Award Finalist, will have to stay hot on offense to make up for the Tide鈥檚 defensive deficiencies and get past a Colgate team that relies on its defense.
Bama was bounced from the SEC Tournament earlier than they expected but their next game is the one that matters.
They have a week to prepare for their first-round NCAA Tournament game.
Mark Sears, Grant Nelson and Latrell Wrightsell share what the next week will look like.
