Koren Johnson transferring: 5 landing spots for point guard
Loyola-Marymount
While Loyola-Marymount may not be the biggest name for a high-major transfer, the Lions have a lot of connections to Johnson. The first is that the coaching staff is the same that offered Johnson a scholarship out of high school so the two sides know each other. The second is the of Lorenzo Romar, a Huskies legend and former coach who offered Johnson a scholarship when he was the head coach of Pepperdine, so there鈥檚 another deep connection.
Though Loyola-Marymount does not play in a high-major conference, they do play in the respected West Coast Conference which has sent a pair of programs to the NCAA Tournament numerous times. If the Lions can land a big fish like Johnson, their future would be bright.
