Top 10 New York HS baseball players in Class of 2024
5. Kyle DeGroat, RHP, Wallkill
DeGroat was a dominant two-way player for the Panthers last season with a 1.170 OPS at the plate and a 0.62 ERA on the mound. He is going to help Wallkill as a senior in various ways, but having a pitcher as dominant as he has been throughout his career is vital at the high school level. DeGroat will be heading to Austin to play for the Texas Longhorns next spring.Â
Interesting look here at Kyle Degroat (‘24, NY). Snatching an 88 second pitch of the game. Has settled into 84-86 mph rang w/ heater. High-waisted, physical build w/ present strength throughout. Looseness to AA as he works DH well w/ H3/4 slot.
