Top 10 Michigan HS baseball players in Class of 2024
1. Caleb Bonemer, SS, Okemos
While there are many high-quality baseball players in Michigan, none are as dominant as Bonemer was last spring. The 6-foot-1, 199-pound shortstop hit .538 with a .587 on-base percentage, 45 RBIs, 35 runs scored, 17 stolen bases, 13 doubles, 12 HR and three triples for his 23-6-1 Wolves team. Bonemer earned nearly every major accolade one could as he was named MHSBCA Dream Team, MHSBCA Division I first-team all-state, Perfect Game All-American,听 and Michigan .
Expectations are high for Bonemer once again as he joins Nori on both the MaxPreps Preseason All-American team and the Baseball America Preseason All-American first team. Bonemer is considered the unanimous top prospect in the state by both PBR and Perfect Game and is ranked as the No. 24 overall prospect in the MLB draft by MLB.com. He signed with the Virginia Cavaliers on , but given his status as a high draft prospect, he likely won鈥檛 play at the collegiate level.聽
