4. Hogan Denny, C, Mooresville
Denny is a three-sport athlete at Mooresville and an all-state performer on the baseball diamond who does a little bit of everything for the Pioneers. Mooresville has gone an impressive 50-9 across the last two seasons in large part thanks to Denny who has hit .434 with 19 home runs during that time. Last season, the talented catcher and infielder hit .462 with nine home runs, 40 RBIs, 33 runs and 23 stolen bases. Meanwhile, Denny has also been strong on the mound for the Pioneers, going 10-2 across his sophomore and junior years with a 1.81 ERA and 34 strikeouts in 2023. Mooresville is in line for a deep postseason run in 2024 led by its senior star who will stay in-state to play college baseball at Indiana next year.
