8. Griffin Tobias, RHP, Lake Central
Lake Central could be in line for a deep postseason run in 2024 after making it to semistate last spring, particularly with continued production from its star pitcher, Tobias. The 6-foot, 190-pound standout had a 10-strikeout shutout to get Lake Central to that point, going 6-1 overall last season. Tobias has also posted a 1.32 ERA with 99 strikeouts over the last two years. The Lake Central senior has continued to get better and better in recent months and showed more velocity at February鈥檚 Super 60 Showcase with a fastball and sinker that each touch 93 mph. The star senior鈥檚 emergence should continue this spring before he joins a few of the Hoosier State鈥檚 top Class of 2024 prospects at Indiana.
