10. Nick Heitman, RHP, Mt. Vernon
Heitman has a chance for a special season this spring as does his Mt. Vernon squad as he is part of a dynamic one-two punch in the Marauders鈥� rotation that also includes Notre Dame commit Cameron Sullivan. Heitman will also stay in the Midwest for his college baseball career at Iowa, but he鈥檒l first look to build on a solid junior season at Mt. Vernon where he was an all-conference performer. On the year, Heitman struck out 62 batters across 35 1/3 innings as hitters batted just .223 against him. One of Heitman鈥檚 most notable performances was a 17-strikeout outing against Greenfield-Central, while the Marauders鈥� star was also solid at the plate with a .356 batting average and 27 RBIs. Those numbers could continue to grow as Heitman concludes his prep career.
