10 most impactful players for NCAA women鈥檚 basketball tournament
5. Paige Bueckers, G, UConn
After missing all of last season due to a torn ACL, Bueckers has come back strong in 2023-24 and is poised to have a big impact on UConn鈥檚 postseason success. The 6-foot forward from Minnesota has again displayed her tremendous scoring ability throughout the season, averaging 20.7 points while shooting an efficient 54% from the floor and an impressive 41.2% from 3-point range. Bueckers also averages 4.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists, and she has been a key cog on defense for the Huskies, grabbing two steals and blocking one shot per game. UConn hasn鈥檛 been quite as dominant as in years past but is still a top-10 team that has Final Four potential if Bueckers, along with star forward Aaliyah Edwards, can continue their exceptional play.
