Cowan excelled on the bump for the Huskies last season. The 6-foot-3, 199-pound southpaw helped lead his 22-4 Tuscarora squad to a VHSL Class 4A state semifinals appearance on his way to first-team all-region honors.
Cowen is ranked as the sixth-best player and the top left-handed pitcher in the state鈥檚 senior class by PBR. He signed with in-state Virginia Tech on .
