Top 10 Illinois HS baseball players in Class of 2024
9. Sir Jamison Jones, C, St. Rita
St. Rita has produced some special athletic talent over the years and Jones is next in line. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound catcher has grown significantly since his freshman year when he was just 5-foot-8 and has developed into one of the top players at his position in the state. Jones’ defense behind the plate has been strong for the Mustangs as he threw out 13 runners attempting to steal last season. At the plate, Jones has a smooth swing that helped him hit .396 with three home runs and 45 RBIs as he helped St. Rita to sectionals. Jones has shown well through various showcases over the past several months as well including the MLB Develops Dream Series and Prep Baseball Report’s Super 60. He is slated to play college baseball at Oklahoma State next year but also has a chance to hear his name called at the MLB draft.
C Sir Jamison Jones (St. Rita, Oklahoma State signee) was one of the more physical prospects in attendance on Sunday.
