Top 10 Colorado HS baseball players in Class of 2024
1. Mitch Haythorn, P, Eaton
While there were many great players in Colorado’s 2024 class last season, Haythorn may have been the very best. The 6-foot, 198-pound right-hander went 10-0 with an 0.82 ERA, 113 strikeouts and one save in 51 1/3 innings pitched in 14 appearances with five starts. He helped lead the Reds to a perfect 29-0 season and the CHSAA Class 3A state championship. Haythorn was named Class 3A first-team all-state and Denver Post All-Colorado.
Haythorn is a unanimous top-10 prospect in the state, ranking sixth by Perfect Game and third by PBR. He the Oklahoma Sooners on Nov. 8.
