Top 10 Arizona HS baseball players in Class of 2024
7. Max Charles, OF/SS, IMG Academy
Charles is one of the most popular high school players in the country due to his ability to throw over 90 mph with each hand from the mound. After originally committing to LSU, the 6-1, 213-pound switch hitter suffered multiple injuries last year and decided that attending Grand Canyon would be in his best interest. Charles previously played at Liberty High School in Peoria, where he hit .413 with seven home runs across his sophomore and junior seasons. At GCU, Charles will look to follow in the footsteps of Jacob Wilson, who was selected sixth overall by the Oakland Athletics during last year’s MLB draft.

(Liberty) and #1 player in the 2024 class. Made it look easy tonight going 2-2 with two lasers to the middle of the field and showing off the 🚀 from SS to secure the double play.— Prep Baseball Arizona (@PrepBaseballAZ)
