1. Noah Franco, OF, IMG Academy
Though Florida is loaded with talented outfielders, none come close to Franco, who is the unanimous top player in the state. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound outfielder batted .320 with 16 hits, 13 RBIs, three doubles, three triples and three home runs for the national champion Ascenders last season. He also went 4-0 with a 1.62 ERA, 47 strikeouts and one save on the mound for good measure. Franco was named an All-American by Baseball Factory, PBR and Perfect Game and made USA Baseball鈥檚 .
While he鈥檚 a talented two-way player, Franco is projected as a position player at the next level. He is currently ranked as the No. 23 prospect in the MLB draft by MLB.com. Franco was also selected as a preseason All-American by MaxPreps. Though he is TCU, given his status as a draft prospect he will likely opt to go straight into the professional ranks instead.
