Top 10 Louisiana HS baseball players in Class of 2024
2. Michael Ryan, SS, Archbishop Rummel
There are a lot of good hitters on this list, but Ryan might very well be the best Louisiana鈥檚 senior class has to offer. Also a good defender in the middle infield, Ryan has proven his ability at the plate throughout his time at Archbishop Rummel, particularly last season as he hit .420 with seven home runs, 31 RBIs and 49 runs. Ryan鈥檚 efforts helped the Raiders on a late-season winning streak that led to an appearance in the LHSAA Select Division I state championship game. A strong summer has the 6-foot, 190-pound senior in line for a good finish to his high school career. While he is likely to hear his name called in this summer鈥檚 MLB draft, Ryan is also one of several of Louisiana鈥檚 top baseball prospects who is committed to reigning national champion LSU.
SS Mikey Ryan ( ) can do it all! He's a + runner with the hands and instincts to stay at SS & he can really hit! He has perhaps the most "next-level ready" swing in the class. It's short and quick with an accurate barrel, uses the whole field, and is impactful!
