8. Jason Flores, SS, Naaman Forest
Flores is a star two-way player for the Rangers and while he鈥檚 being scouted as a pitcher, his best work is arguably as a position player. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound right-hander led the Class 6A in batting average, hitting .521 while also recording five doubles, three triples, three home runs and 23 RBIs.
He was named the 9-6A Offensive Player of the Year, first-team all-area by the and first-team all-state at shortstop. Flores also participated in the New Balance Future Stars Series in October. He is ranked as the eighth-best player in the state by both Five Tool and Perfect Game and the No. 10 player in the state by PBR. Flores signed with the Texas Longhorns on .
