Top 10 NCAA softball players entering the 2024 season
5. NiJaree Canady, P, Stanford
Canady is one of the youngest players on this list, but it can be argued that she is the top pitcher in college softball already. Following a standout career at Topeka High School in Kansas, Canady was special in her first collegiate season at Stanford, becoming the national freshman of the year while also earning first-team All-Pac-12 honors and being named to the WCWS All-Tournament team. Canady led the nation with an incredible 0.57 ERA across 135 innings pitched, striking out 218 batters with just 21 walks. The dominant 6-foot pitcher tossed 10 complete games including two no-hitters and held opponents to a .137 batting average. The Cardinal fell just short in the Women鈥檚 College World Series last year but should be in title contention again with another dominant season from Canady.
