5. Reed Sheppard, G, Kentucky
Sheppard has arguably been the best freshman in the country. He has only started three games this season, but that is not representative of how important he is to this Wildcats team. The London, Kentucky, native is still putting in 27.8 minutes per game despite coming off the bench while shooting 54% from the 3-point line on 4.3 attempts per game. Sheppard is also a tough defender averaging 2.3 steals. He has played his way into the conversation of being a lottery pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
