Ranking the ACC鈥檚 best basketball players at midway point
2. Kyle Filipowski, F, Duke
The reigning ACC Rookie of the Year may not be done adding to his trophy case as he鈥檚 in the race for the Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year Award and the John R. Wooden Award. Filipowski has increased his output and efficiency this season, scoring 17.5 points on 50.4% shooting from the field and 37.3% from deep while bringing down 8.7 rebounds per game. He adds nearly two blocks and over a steal on the defensive end per game, including six games with at least three blocks. With still a couple of months left in the season, Filipowski has a good chance to win conference player of the year but one rival will stand in his way.
Kyle Filipowski gives Duke (-350) the lead late! 馃憖
