6. Tyson Walker, G, Michigan State
Michigan State isn鈥檛 where it thought it would be after beginning the year ranked No. 4 in the country. However, the Spartans could still reach the NCAA Tournament for the 26th straight year and will likely begin playing their best basketball during the second half of the season under Tom Izzo as usual. In order to do so, Michigan State will need more from its guards, including Walker, who has already been phenomenal this season. The 6-foot-1 senior is averaging nearly 19 points, 3.1 assists and 2.6 rebounds. His shooting from deep and at the free-throw line hasn鈥檛 been as efficient as in the past, but he is shooting a career-best 46.4% from the field overall. Walker is also tenacious on defense with two steals per game and his continued success could lead the Spartans on a run sooner than later.
