1. Zach Edey, C, Purdue
Edey, the reigning national player of the year, has been even better in his fourth season at Purdue and is the Big Ten鈥檚 best player by a relatively wide margin. The 7-foot-4, 300-pound center continues to be truly dominant in the paint, averaging a career-best 23.4 points to go along with 11.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists. Edey is shooting 63.5% from the field and gets to the free-throw line over 10 times per game where he shoots 72%. Of course, Edey鈥檚 size remains a huge asset for the Boilermakers on defense as well, as he blocks 2.3 shots per game. The big man has had 14 games this season with 20 points or more and six with 30 or more. He鈥檚 as dominant of a player as college basketball has seen in a while and might be headed for back-to-back national player of the year honors.
