Ranking the top 10 college football coaching hires
3. Mike Elko, Texas A&M
Elko returns to College Station where he spent four years as the defensive coordinator before leaving for the Duke head coaching job. It is hard to impress more than he did in his first year with the Blue Devils, leading them to an 8-4 season and a victory in the Military Bowl. He was named ACC Coach of the Year. The quick turnaround at Duke made Elko one of the most coveted coaches available this offseason.
Everything is completely normal at this Texas A&M press conference introducing HC Mike Elko.
Sidenote. Weird things like this are what make CFB special and different from every other sport.
